From Ziggytek: Dell’s stance on the Streak is that it “is a data device first and a voice device second.” The UK will be the first nation to receive the slate Android smartphone, followed by continental Europe and then rest of the globe before the conclusion of summer. Dell is positioning the Streak to be more than a smartphone but small enough to go where the iPad cannot. Do you buy it? More »

Google’s open source Android is delightful, but do you know what is even better? How about Aoson’s M500 tablet, which can run 8 operating systems without any hassle? The M500 can natively, without hacking run Android, “Windows 98, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac 9.1 and Linux 2.4.” My math informs me that I have counted to 9. More »

A few days ago, HP announced its Android powered tablet, “smartbook.” It is not a “netbook” and not a “smartphone,” but featuring a touchscreen and 3G, the Airlife 100 is a “smartbook.” I remember rolling my eyes when smaller SUVs began being called SAVs. Critics were not fond with its plasticky screen, which did not have multi-touch, and the 5’s instability and UI jerkiness. Now, Archos is soon to release its bigger Android tablet, the Archos 7.
