Before today, Sony’s PlayStation certification was only allowed for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and Sony Tablet S, but it seems like that may change. A recent announcement by Sony Ericsson Japan announces that the Japan models of the Xperia Arc and Xperia Acro will become the latest recipients for PlayStation certification through an upcoming official software update. Those residing in the “Land of the Rising Sun” will soon be able to see Sony launch the Tablet S and the Tablet P in 3G models available on the carrier NTT DoCoMo coming October 28th. From Ziggytek: Out of the 5 teaser videos Sony is planning to release for its tablets, one is now out on the web! The S1 and S2 tablet shown here is scheduled to be released around September. Both will run Android Honeycomb and have a Tegra 2 chip, but they differ in size. S1 is 9.5 inches with 2 cameras, while the dual screen S2 has a 5.5 inch screen with only one camera. More »
