The time has come for us to wave goodbye to T-Mobile’s HTC G2 because has been officially discontinued since June 6th, according to TmoNews. This is probably due to the lack of space for new phones to come in such as the MyTouch4G Slide. Do not shed tears yet, current G2 owners, because you’ll soon be receiving a Gingerbread upgrade. This smartphone will run Android 2.2 and its front-facing camera supports video calling, which works on either Wi-Fi or T-Mobile’s 3G network. Recently, it was announced that the TouchPro2, Cliq, Cliq XT and MyTouch 1.2 will no longer be sold by T-Mobile after October 4th. This is another disappointing announcement after various delays of the promised Android 2.1 update on Cliq phones. Let’s just hope the phones on T-Mobile’s leaked roadmap will have a better future.
