According to a recent report by ABI Research, Android tablets have taken 20 percent of the market from Apple’s iPad over the past year. However, analyst Jeff Orr says that no single tablet has yet been able to challenge the iPad, which might be caused by the high prices of Android tablets. More »

That’s right! iPad and iPhone 4 will soon be able to run Android OS thanks to OpeniBoot, an open source implementation of iBoot for Apple devices. Currently it only works on iPhone 3G, 2G and 1st-gen iPod Touch, but now OpeniBoot developers are working on bringing the OS for other iDevices as well. Doesn’t it sound great? More »

From Ziggytek: Woz was enthralled with his Google Nexus One when he purchased it, and although he still loves Android’s useful voice recognition, he thinks that its open source foundation (ironically) makes it too similar to Windows, an operating system that tries to do everything but staggers at doing anything well. From Ziggytek: Notion Ink’s very promising Adam tablets have been pushed back to November. In February, when the company enthusiastically showed off the slate, the targeted release was June/July. Alas, because of Adobe Flash 10.1 issues and production/hardware supply problems (lots of tablets are being manufactured by other big firms), the Google Android based Adam is arriving late 2010.
