-Looks like Samsung’s taking a leaf from a whole lot of books—this company might just be using Android’s Google OS in their future TVs

HTC Desire users have to wait a bit longer on their Android 2.2 update process, according to the Twitter account of a PR spokesman for Orange. To be specific - Android 2.2 will be live to download on Desire units in about 4 weeks, probably at the end of August. More »

Canada’s biggest CDMA carrier, Telus is reportedly getting the HTC Desire, which the company has relabeled the “Triumph.” Telus’ countdown timer to a major June 8th (which is, incidentally, one day after Steve Jobs‘ expected iPhone 4G/HD keynote) “Unleashing” could very well be for what would be the nation’s best domestic Android 2.1 smartphone. HTC has confirmed that the Droid Incredible, Evo 4G, MyTouch Slide, and Desire are on the priority list to receive Android 2.2 updates, but none of them is getting the new OS until the second half of this year. Although HTC has not made a statement about 2009 models, the adverb that “most” 2010 units will get FroYo indicates to me that there is no chance for the likes of the G1, MyTouch 3G, and Droid Eris since not “all” 2010 smartphones will be upgraded.
