Earlier, it was reported a beta version of the Android 2.2 (Froyo) upgrade was leaked out to the public, giving early adopters a chance to try out the new version for the Motorola Droid X. Starting July 30th, Verizon will give customers $30 credit to anyone purchasing an Android phone. Technically the deal is for anyone purchasing a phone that falls under the smartphone or multimedia phone category, but it might as well be Android. Android phones are both smartphones and multimedia phones! The deal will last until Aug. 8 and is applicable for each phone purchased. More »
