From Ziggytek: Spoken of at CES, Foxconn’s 8.9″ tablet reference design is a serious iPad challenger from the company that ironically manufactures Apple’s tablet, along with the Mac Mini, iPhone, iPod Touch, and a host of other boards and parts! Using an NVIDIA Tegra 2, duo-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 1Gb of memory, the prototype slate has a front-facing camera and two USB ports. More »

Archos outlined its Android generation 8 Internet Tablets consisting of models that range from 3″ to 10″ and prices starting at $100 to $350. ARM Cortex 800MHz and 1GHz processors with OpenGL 3D acceleration are going to power these handhelds. More »
