Sprint has announced that the HTC Evo 4G is being packaged with an 8Gb microSD card in the pictured box. While 8 gigs may be insufficient for a select few buyers, most can live with it. At least Sprint has saved you $25 or whatever an 8Gb card goes for. By contrast, Verizon is giving out meager 2Gb cards (which is nearly useless) for a “limited time” with the Droid Incredible. Verizon’s lower-end LG Ally (Iron Man 2 phone) is going to compete against T-Mobile’s similar HTC MyTouch 3G Slide. Like the Slide, the Ally has a slide-out QWERTY keypad, Android Eclair 2.1, and the same 600MHz Qualcomm CPU, but the LG sports a much higher-resolution LCD.
