Adobe’s MWC appearance revealed something big: only smartphones with ARM Cortex-A8 or faster processors will run Flash 10.1 properly. Also, 50Mb of free RAM is required, but all current Android devices have this covered; unfortunately, in North America, only the Nexus One and Motorola Droid have the CPU requirements, so this means that the HTC Magic (myTouch), Dream (G1), Hero, Motorola CLIQ, and other top selling Android phones will not be supported. In addition to showing Flash 10.1 on an HTC HD2 (Windows Mobile 6.5) and the Nexus One, Adobe hopes that AIR will allow easy cross-platform integration with so many different operating systems powering smartphones. More »
