Sprint has announced that the HTC Evo 4G is being packaged with an 8Gb microSD card in the pictured box. While 8 gigs may be insufficient for a select few buyers, most can live with it. At least Sprint has saved you $25 or whatever an 8Gb card goes for. By contrast, Verizon is giving out meager 2Gb cards (which is nearly useless) for a “limited time” with the Droid Incredible. After a lackluster start to the new year, HTC is hoping that a robust Q2 will propel the company to a resurgent finish to 2010. HTC had expected Q1 revenues to be lower than the previous quarter, but with the eagerly anticipated releases of the Desire, the Legend, and other unconfirmed Android smartphones in the spring and down the line, business should be bustling from here onwards.
