Yesterday, the net was buzzing with the leak of T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ smartphone, which was at first believed to be the HTC Vanguard (aka G1 Blaze/Vision); however, the “Vanguard” name has disappeared from the source code on T-Mobile’s web page. Dell has published the prices for two of its most interesting smartphones. The mammoth 5-inch Streak is going to be $299.99 with AT&T contract or $549.99 outright, while the mid-range 3.5-inch Aero will be $99.99 with agreement and a low $299.99 without. The page on which Dell spilled this information has been deleted, but the Aero will definitely launch August 9th.

Verizon is expected to be carrying tablets in the near future, and its close relationship with Motorola leads to speculation that Motorola’s 10-inch tablet could be headed to the CDMA carrier as an opponent for AT&T’s iPad. One fresh report suggests that Motorola’s slate will be launched with Android 3.0 Gingerbread in November.

Samsung’s appropriation of its Super-AMOLED screens can be explained by the number of Galaxy S launches worldwide. Now, there might be one more reason for the shortage: in September, the Korean electronics mega corporation is supposedly going to release a BlackBerry challenger with FroYo, a full QWERTY keypad, 3-inch Super-AMOLED display, and the same Hummingbird CPU found in the bigger Galaxy.
