News for the Samsung Galaxy Beam has surfaced once again. Though this time, we’re hearing an April release for this projector smartphone. Not to mention that it’s also being powered by a new Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread system.

The only bummer is that the potential mid-April release is only being toted for India and possibly the UK in the summer. A US release seems to be left out as of the most recent news, though one can still hope that it’ll come at least someday.

A projector feature probably isn’t essential to the casual smartphone user, though business users would definitely find it handy for on-the-go presentations.

Basic specs:
- 4-inch AMOLED display
- 1.0 GHz dual-core processor
- 2,000 mAh battery
- pico projector mounted on top with 15 lumen of brightness

The yellow color also doesn’t seem that bad. I know if I had a projector-capable smartphone, it could still come in handy to make sharing picture or video media really nicely.
