Barnes & Noble is hoping to reduce the price of the Amazon Kindle Fire with the release of a new Nook Tablet model with half the internal storage as the current version. It is reported that a 8GB Nook Tablet will hit stores this February 22nd!

The current 16GB Nook tablet is set at a price of $249, which is $50 more than Amazon’s Kindle Fire. A 8GB Nook Tablet is expected to sell for about $200 or less. According to rumors from Walmart, the 8GB Nook Tablet will go on sale when at midnight and that units are already beginning to arrive in stores.
