Sony and Sony Ericsson have recently come together with Sony paying a $1.37 billion dowry for full stake in Sony Ericsson, which will be taking on the name of Sony Mobile Communications. This means that the transaction has made Sony Ericsson a subsidiary of Sony.

Sony plans to further integrate the mobile phone business as an important element of its electronics business, aiming to accelerate convergence between its entire lineup of network enabled consumer electronics products. However, Sony’s upcoming devices that were revealed at CES will be still under the “Sony” name when launched.

I wonder what new devices Sony has planned for their mobile business extension!
