The Archos Arnova 9 G2 tablet is a relatively simple one: rather than Ice Cream Sandwich or Honeycomb there’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a run-of-the-mill 9.7″ (1024 x 768) display. The specifications aren’t overwhelming with an ARM Cortex-A8 1GHz single core processor, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi, and a battery that’s claimed to last 6 hours of video watching and 24 hours of music listening (with the screen off).

Whatsoever, the tablet can cope with simple tasks and gaming. Note that there’s no Android Market available - the alternative that is available is the AppsLib app store. Someone will probably get Android Market on there sooner or later anyway.

For a no-frills, simple tablet, you’ll be expected to fork out $229.99 to $249.99.
