Verizon has hinted that shared data plans are just around the corner. Lowell McAdam, CEO at Verizon had noted that it was logical that family plans must be able to share data and share a single bill. For users with multiple devices under Verizon, the data sharing would make things much simpler.
There will no more need for separate plans for every single device. It seems that this prediction is slowly coming to the surface.
The screenshot above shows a glimpse on a new Verizon employee training material with evidence of a shared data plan being implemented. A new section labeled “account level data plans” apparently shows an account level charge for data allowance.
It seems that it will cost $9.99 per line in order to add a device in the family plan. A huge save compared to having separate plans.
