Tablets are seen as the more convenient option to carrying a bulky laptop around and more substantial than a small smartphone. Nobody could have predicted the massive impact that they have made on our lives and by 2017, it is predicted that 383.3 million units will have been purchased.

And that number can mean one thing for all tablet buyers, whether first time or tenth time - lovelier prices. As tablets face more and more competition with one another, prices will be driven down. Despite the condition of the current economy, lower prices would mean higher shipments.

Tablet prices such as the NOOK Color and the Kindle Fire have shown that it doesn’t take buckets full of money to get some great devices. How low do you think tablet prices could go?
