Research shows that US Android users prefer Samsung phones.
According to the study by iGR, the majority of Android users in the United States prefer Samsung phones. The top 3 manufacturers include, Samsung, followed by Motorola and HTC. Among these brands, Samsung was most profitable not only in the US but also worldwide. The Samsung Galaxy S line sold 30 million units worldwide.
According to the report, about 47 percent of US smartphone owners use Android which is almost double that of the 24 percent who use iPhone. And among these android users, almost half researched their purchase beforehand and specifically chose an Android phone. About 27 percent of these Android owners said that they selected an Android phone because of its association with Google and they believed that the latter was a “reputable company” and therefore inferred that Android must also be trustworthy.
What do you Android owners out there think? What influenced you to buy an Android phone? Do you agree with the research and also prefer Samsung?
