EU regulators have recently announced that they will decide on the deal between Google and Motorola Mobility on February 13th. The EU Commission previously set a January 10th deadline to decide whether Google could take over the handset maker, but it was suspended as Google still has to reach certain documents.

The Internet search engine intends to acquire Motorola Mobility to compete better with its rivals such as Apple. This purchase would cost Google a whopping $12.5 billion and a set of patents will then be handed over to the company.

Stay tuned for the development of this acquisition.
