The NOOK Tablet is following the HP TouchPad to get unofficial Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich build loaded. Developer Brandon Bennet managed to bypass the tablet’s locked boot loader a few days ago and now he has already revealed a picture of CyanogenMod 9 running on it.
Several developers have also managed to boot CM9 from a microSD instead of the device’s primary storage, allowing users to run ICS on the tablet without erasing the official software from Barnes & Noble. Bennet is currently making progress with the software to release the tools for running CM9 to the public. Check out xda-developers for more details.
