It has been floating around for awhile now, and Sony has finally decided to give the Sony Ericsson “Nozomi” and actual name: the Sony Xperia S, along with annoucements regarding the specs.

The device will be HSPA-only, with a a 720p zero-air-gap display on a 4.3-inch chassis, a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, a 12-megapixel Exmor R camera. Most importantly, Android Gingerbread is on board during the shipping, while an Ice Cream Sandwich update is promised.
