The Kyobo eReader has recently been reviewed by The Digital Reader, and it unfortunately gets quite a bad review despite its Mirasol screen, which is provided by Qualcomm.

The device is powered by a 1GHz SnapDragon CPU with Android 2.3.5, WiFi and a 5.7-inch touchscreen, but it is unable to load apps and it has poor battery life and long load times. The main feature itself, the reading app, crashes frequently and it doesn’t load DRM-protected ebooks even after authorizing with Adobe DE.

Furthermore, the device doesn’t properly support Epub formats and even PDF view has a poor performance, while YouTube video playback is slow.

Well, to look at the bright side, the page turn speed is slightly faster than that of the Kindle Touch.
