Google has recently banned the Siri knockoff app from the Android Market, along with its developer. Perhaps misled by the name “Siri for Android,” at least a thousand Android users managed to install the app prior to the ban, but unfortunately the app isn’t even close to iPhone’s Siri.
The clone app is not an Android-friendly version of Apple’s Siri, but a simple screen with a button which opens the Google Voice Actions app. In other words, it was basically a simple shortcut.
Android users, if you are really jealous of iPhone’s Siri, maybe you can try out Iris. At least it does its job answering your questions the best it can.
