Christmas is a special day, and indeed in the smartphone market as well. Looks like our Android and iOS have decided to work together, and the results are quite fantastic, if not wonderfully spontaneous.

The activations added together, according to analytics from Flurry, was 6.8 million in one day, compared to the usual 1.5 million, bringing a 353% jump altogether. On the other hand, app downloads are quite remarkable as well, with the 242 million downloads, the statistics grew by a big 125%.

Oh, Christmas, our favorite holiday. And looks like it will be Android and iOS’s favorite holiday…at least for this year.
