Before today, if you tried to visit the Android Market webpage (via market.android.com) on the Kindle Fire tablet/e-reader’s web browser, the device would actually forward you Amazon’s own Appstore. Now considering that you meant to visit the web version Google’s Android Market (since you typed it in and all), it could prove to be pretty frustrating. Though now you don’t have to worry…sort of.
From the recent news that the Kindle Fire would be getting a “root breaking” update, it apparently also brought along some good news. For it seems like Amazon is no longer being uppity and is no longer blocking users from accessing the web version of the Android Market on their device’s browser. Though that’s pretty much it.
Since Kindle Fire owners still wont be able to install any of the apps from the Android Market (web), they are able to browse music to upload to Google Music, or the various selections of movies, books, etc. Better than not at all, I guess.
