Just recently, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus apparently has an odd bug that causes the volume to go a little crazy on the device. This has made a number of people believe that it is a hardware fault with the rocker switch for volume. It appears now though that this problem is actually software and Google has confirmed that there’s a fix on its way.

We are aware of the volume issue and have developed a fix. We will update devices as soon as possible.
