A few days ago, Google had updated their Android website to include details about the new operating system, Android 4.0. The new OS is called Ice Cream Sandwich and was released when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus launched.

This new operating system was designed for both the mobile and the tablet. Previous versions were Android 2.3 Gingerbread which was generally used on smartphones while Honeycomb 3.X was aimed at tablets. Both are now combined in to one on the new release of the software.
