For those that will be traveling this holiday season, you might be interested to find out that Fly Delta, Delta Air Lines official Android app, has received some very impressive upgrades with its latest update.

A few of the new features include things that you can use every time you fly and some that are there to be of use when you need them. One of the new and useful features is the ability to pay for checked bags when you check in on the app. There’s also the reassured feeling feature that lets you track your checked baggage from your phone. (Though the hope here is that it never gets lost that you need to or overworry that it might.)

There has also been more technical information added about the planes in Delta’s fleet (aimed to be very cool for airplane buffs or just an interesting thing to find out more about), expanded airport maps, transit details, weather info, and Sky Club locations - things that are catered to be perfect things for frequent travelers to be aware of.

If interested, you can pick it up here in the Android Market for free.
