Even though the Google TV as announced last holiday season, it doesn’t seem to have caught on with the masses as much as everyone anticipated. One of the reasons may be the missing Android Market link that would make it more appealing for people to accept.

While it’s good that the most recent update does include the market now, developers aren’t able to submit their own apps and games to the GTV’s Android Market. But it seems as though that may change with what LG rumored to release their first Google TV at CES set for January 2012.

Take the rumor lightly, but with the world’s second largest television maker backing Google up now, the future looks bright for Google TV to finally arrive.
