One of the latest trends in Japan right now is waterproof devices. And for Fujitsu, one of the big brands over there, that’s exactly what they focused their new 10-inch Arrows Tab 2 (F-01D) tablet to do.

More so the reasoning behind it is that they’re realizing that most people want to take their tablets to use in places where water is generally the enemy for electronics. Places like the beach or the bathtub, so it makes sense as to the smart idea to do things like waterproof the gadgets we use everyday.

For the Arrows Tab 2, it’s a slate that is available with LTE connectivity through NTT DoCoMo. But the real temptation comes in their marketing to advertise that you can use it in the bath.

So here’s a demonstration video of it literally taking a swim in a bowl of water (along with some other quick stats). Super impressive, especially when it emerges to work perfectly fine.

The only bummer is that it’s only available in Japan right now, but I really hope that this emerging trend of waterproof starts making its way out as well.
