From multiple sources, HTC Desire S users will soon see an update that will take them to Android 2.3.5/Gingerbread, which will also bump up the mid-range smartphone’s user interface from HTC Sense 2.1 to Sense 3.0 (the newest version available).

With Sense 3.0, new features like a redesigned 3D launcher and lock screen setup will be offered that will surely make one’s HTC experience a little sweeter.

To check if your update has come, go to Menu - Settings - About phone - Software update to hopefully pick it up. If you don’t see anything, give it a few days, since it might still be rolling out to all customers.
