While Spotify has been sitting comfortably as the music subscription of choice in the UK, it’s mainly been able to because no competitor has really arrived. But that’s all about to chance as premium radio manufacturer Pure is gearing up to launch their own service. And along with that, they’re planning to bring an Android app as well, to let users have their music on the go whenever they need it.

Their service, called “The Lounge,” is set to work like how most of their music subscription competitors have it set up - you’ll be able to use it on any web-connected PC or Mac, their range of Internet radios, and your various Android devices.

Priced at just £5 per month, it’s definitely tempting since it’s just half the price of what a premium Spotify subscription would cost you. You’ll be able to search through their massive library of music or listen to your favorite web radio stations and podcasts whether you’re working at home or on the go.

With an expected launch date in December, the Android app version will come soon after. You can check out their website here to learn more.
