Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich are finally to have its official launch, and many users are hoping that their phone will be receiving the delicious treat. New smartphones are almost definitely getting them, but what about the older ones?

Looks like LG Optimus 2X won’t be getting ICS, despite its decent specs. And unfortunately, the device didn’t even get Gingerbread. You’d have thought LG gave up on the phone already (or did they…).

The announcement is getting some LG users anxious about their own phones. But so far, we know that Optimus 2x users would probably need to either get a new phone, stick with the old one, or you know, try and get LG to get some Ice Cream Sandwich for ya.
