It’s pretty amazing to know that T-Mobile is pretty much the only major US mobile carrier who doesn’t offer any version of Apple’s iPhone. This is probably why their latest deal seems to have be done in order to try to sway customers to their side and away from the newly released iPhone 4S.
They’re planning to offer the HTC Wildfire S to customers who with have stated or are likely to leave T-Mobile to get an iPhone 4S. The phone will be given to customers absolutely free after a $50 mail-in rebate and alongside a standard two-year contract.
To inform those that they think will leave, T-Mobile plans to send out 500,000 text messages to those potential users about this new offer between October 18-20.
Though on a side note, an unlocked Wildfire S will only run you about $289.99 from Amazon.
Thoughts? Think this will be enough for T-Mobile users to stay with T-Mobile?
