Those residing in the “Land of the Rising Sun” will soon be able to see Sony launch the Tablet S and the Tablet P in 3G models available on the carrier NTT DoCoMo coming October 28th. Although Sony had visioned a November release, this news means that the models will arrive even earlier, which is great news.
Apart from the 3G capability, there does not seem to be any difference between the non-3G and 3G models. A ¥1,040 (~$14) discount on data plans for the initial 6 months will be offered to those who buy the 3G tablets, an initiative by Sony to get people buying their tablets.
There is also no news of when Sony will spread the 3G goodness out of Japan.
