Though there hasn’t been any confirmation from Motorola for a follow-up to their original tablet, new pictures have surfaced of a supposed Xoom 2 online.

The MZ617, or the “Xoom 2,” can be seen in these pictures with a lot of similarity in looks to the original Xoom. Though its corners seems to have been angled out a bit more.

According to Droid-Life’s source, the tablet sports front- and rear-facing (HD) cameras and what looks like a 10.1″ screen - definitely much of the standard for tablets now. Along with that, it hosts a HDMI and micro USB port on the bottom, and a SIM and SD card slot.

No word on the processor yet either, so nothing yet on how much power this baby could be packing. Besides that, other details are fuzzy and sparse.

With the pretty good reception that the original Motorola Xoom received, especially in being one of the top front-runners for a competitor to Apple’s iPad, it’ll be interesting to see what Motorola might have planned for this possible next version.
