Handset maker HTC is reportedly partnering with Dropbox to offer 3GB of free cloud storage to its new users. This feature will come along with the new Sense 3.5 user interface software, which is expected to come on the new HTC Rhyme and HTC Sensation XE.

If it isn’t attractive enough for you, the 3GB of extra storage is an addition to the standard and free 2GB that Dropbox already offers. That means HTC owners can get a total of 5GB of free cloud storage for photos, videos, music and files.

However, it is unknown whether older HTC users will get the Dropbox extra storage. Furthermore, this feature will apparently not appear on Windows Phone 7 devices by HTC, as Microsoft has its own storage service in SkyDrive, which offers 25GB of free storage.

This is surely a great feature for future Rhyme and Sensation XE users!
