Though the Runnymede 2 was expected to be the first, it seems like HTC has decided to officially announce the Sensation XE instead as the first phone with Beats Audio.
The phone will start shipping to Europe, Africa, Asian, and the Middle East later this month. From previous rumors on the phone, many of the expected specs have also come to light: powered by a 1.5GHz processor, 4GB of internal memory, and with a larger 1730mAh battery.
Being the first Beats Audio integrated phone from HTC, each phone comes with its own pair of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones with an line-in remote. It also comes with a 8 or 16GB microSD card.
When you plug in the headphones to the phone while music is playing, a specially-designed Beats audio profile is switched on that will optimize the sound quality that you head through the headphones. Pretty cool.
Thoughts on the first Beats Audio phone?
