Earlier this month, HTC made the move to invest and own a considerable amount in Beats Audio, noted for their Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. With the upcoming HTC Runnymede 2, it seems as though a bit of that influence will be present as well, seeing as the new phone is said to be one of the first to feature Beats technology.

The leaked specs sheet shown leads us to believe that the Runnymede 2 is set to come with a huge 4.7-inch WVGA Super LCD screen, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, 16GB or 32GB of storage and the most interesting: “SRS surround sound with acoustic performance tuned by Beats.”

Alongside that, it is suppose to be equipted with a 8MP camera that will also be able to record in 720p HD video and a 1.3MP camera for video chat. Definitely one packed phone.

The sheet also says that the phone will come with a Beats Solo headset (currently retailing for about $179) - so it makes you wonder just how much the smartphone package will be.
