Amazon will reportedly release their new 7-inch tablet in November for just $250. Dubbed the “Amazon Kindle,” it resembles Blackberry’s PlayBook and based on its price, it will probably compete with Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color.
Like the Nook Color, it will run a highly modified version of Android 2.2/Froyo, so the whole interface has been changed and there is no Google application on the device. The Amazon service offers content for reading, music listening, and app shopping needs.
If the 7-inch tablet sells according to Amazon’s expectations, they will release the 10-inch version in early 2012.
