Sharp has now announced some more news in regards to their upcoming Galapagos A01SH Honeycomb tablet. The tablet will be debut in Japan and will be available for a starting price of $1 (¥100) but of course there are catches.
When buying the Galapagos A01SH, you would have to sign up with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) but many are wondering why this deal is necessary because the model is WiFi-only. If buyers choose not to sign up with an ISP then they can purchase the device for ¥44,800 ($583).
The Galapagos A01SH will feature a 7-inch screen with 1024×600 pixel display, a dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 processor at 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2MP front-facing camera and will run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
