A new project has recently been announced by LG and National Geographic. The two plan to work together, alongside world-renowned photographers and videographers, to create a breath-taking 3D image gallery. All done with the LG Optimus 3D smartphone.
All of their images and videos will be shot with the 3D smartphone, which makes it a pretty interesting project, especially in choosing to utilize 3D, which many have not warmed up to that much yet. It might chance after they see the world’s wonders through this new venture.
LG’s president and CEO, Dr. Jong-seok Park had this to say:
For over a century, National Geographic has been the preeminent institution for world-class wildlife, landscape, travel and lifestyle photography. To have six of National Geographic’s photographers showcase the power of Optimus 3D’s imaging capabilities is a true honor and a significant moment in the acceptance of 3D technology in a portable device such as a smartphone.
Definitely can’t wait to see the types of images that will come out of this unique assignment!
