Google has announced that they have closed the Android Market developer support forums on August 22. The forum is now a dedicated place for user issues and discussion only, which is quite an unwanted news to developers who have used the forums to report issues with the market as well as seek assistance from each other.

Sometimes the lengthy threads in the developer forums are ill-tempered, which are then shared, reported on and circulated. This might be a reason why Google has chosen to close down the forums altogether.

From now on, developers can report Android Market issues through one-on-one support and the known issues page will remain as usual.
