Androids from HTC having Gingerbread updates are no surprise, but what about NFC capabilities? (a common use for NFC is making credit card payments with only your phone) The new HTC Stunning is the new mobile that will have NFC features…sadly, the phone is to be launched in China only.
HTC, originated from Taiwan, was not expected to choose China as their first market for Stunning, since there’s always tension between the two places. But in terms of looking at it in a business/commerce perspective, China is a very good candidate for the launch.
The device is said to be using China’s UnionPay mobile payment system. The release might happen in September, but nothing’s been set in stone quite yet.
