LG had two big events lately, one being a class action lawsuit which was started against LG claiming that their company failed to remedy various problems and defects with the G2x in an appropriate time frame. The head of plaintiff, Terry Horvarth is seeking to represent a class of those who have purchased the stock Android device.
Now the Gingerbread update is available through LG’s proprietary Mobile Software Updater however there has been no official announcement about it. There is no news on what bugs, if any bugs were fixed or if its the final build but maybe LG released it to satisfy the unsatisfied? All that is known is that it is the Gingerbread 2.3.3, it is 178MB, and it is build GRi40.
The G2x was a highly anticipated phone because it was stock Android however the anticipation then turned into regret because many owners were plagued with issues like reboots, and with no fixes being made. LG then promised that Gingerbread would be coming soon, however people were already becoming fed up with the constant problems, which is why now there is a class action suit against LG.
Let’s hope this update will solve any problems with the G2x. Have any of you got this phone?
