We recently released an article about the HTC ChaCha, also known as the ‘Facebook phone’ and how it was still not set to debut through any U.S carriers. Good news, that has changed and it will be sold through AT&T as the HTC Status. The availability date and price have still not been announced though.

The Status comes with deep Facebook integration. As you can see in the photo above, there is even a tiny Facebook button in the bottom right-hand corner. That little button gives you direct access to sharing images, links, your status, news and more. Apparently, the button also glows when you are doing something that can be posted.

Here are some of the phones other specs:

Platform: Androidâ„¢ 2.3 + HTC Sense
Display: 2.6-inch touch screen with 480 x 320 resolution
Network: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900
Memory: 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM
Processor: MSM7227, 800 MHz
Battery: Rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 1250 mAh
Camera resolution: 5 MP main camera with autofocus, VGA front-facing camera

What do you think? How many Facebook lovers are going to get this phone?

looks like a cool phone smile

looks like a very interesting phone!

Wow. Facebook’s getting so famous. A keyboard made for it now a phone...what’s next? But I’m biased. Since it’s an HTC phone...it’s gotta be good! smile
