Every year, comScore would do a detailed reports on the current mobile market. As we can see from the graph, Androids are the mobile phones that has been growing at a very fast pace. As of May 2011, Androids hold a final 35% of US Mobile market share, the highest share of all. We also see that iOS is already/trending to surpass the Blackberry OS.
This means that we are left with two very big competing platform for this year. Most likely, at the growing rate of 1.5% per month, Androids will be THE mobile phone of the country, eliminating any competitors there are. Although the growth is not significant, a growth of 0.5% allowed the iOS to be second on the chart.
Sadly, we see that HP’s WebOS is not doing so well. In fact, they are losing market share when there are almost no more shares to lose. At this rate, we’re not even sure if we’ll be seeing the WebOS by the end of the year…
