Google has revealed its latest NFC payment solution, Google Wallet, but it currently only works with the Sprint’s Nexus S 4G. Although both versions of Nexus S models have the same NFC chip, T-Mobile users with the original Nexus S did not get the new Google feature.
It was confirmed that an agreement with T-Mobile has not yet been made, so Google Wallet will only be available on Sprint’s version until an agreement occurs. With Google Wallet, it is hoped that mobile payments will be the platform to help push NFC to popularity in America as in other countries. I don’t think it would be a very good idea for Sprint to be the only one with the feature. I hope Google comes to an agreement with T-Mobile soon!
