Phones nowadays, especially those smartphones, can be pretty pricey. And to compensate for the price, people will go for the phones that don’t cost as much. But that means getting sub-par updates and not the hottest performance. And we mean those pretty good sub-$100 Android phones.
Phones in the LG Optimus line or that Samsung Transform? They’re not shabby but because they run on older software, they won’t run as fast as the average phone nowadays, which run basically on 600MHz. And if you’re one who constantly wants software updates, well, those phones won’t give you the number of software updates you so crave. Want to know if a phone is getting updates? Well, see how large the user base is.
You can still get awesome phones (even if they are slightly old) on Amazon’s site, like the Droid Incredible or HTC G2. Of course, Amazon updates its discounts all the time but why not just browse the site for some good deals? And with a bit of patience, perhaps you’ll find that really awesome phone for a good price. Now that would be a steal!
