So many different tablets have been coming out! There was one in particular which was released and got its turn in the spotlight then sort of just shrank back into a corner, the Adam tablet by Notion Ink. In the company’s latest blogpost, they have recently announced that the Adam will be receiving some major updates in the near future!
Due to the anticipated update, changes will be made to the tablet’s software had received mixed reactions from its users. A large number of people decided to disable the Eden UI and then ran the tablet on stock Android 2.2 instead.
The update will include: Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the ability to overclock the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a new web browser, a new eBook app, a new music and video player, a new multi-task system, and Adobe Flash Player preinstalled with the update. Google has not released the Honeycomb source code to most hardware manufacturers out there yet, so the Adam will wait on that feature.
As for when this update will be released, it is not known yet. Do any of you own an Adam tablet?
